Christmas Day: belated, i.e. the day after

I took many photos of our Christmas Day, but ran out of steam for a post…

so..

here are some views of our day!

We started together on the little sofa, with coffee and Vendee Globe catchup!

Lox, cream cheese, capers, pickled onions on my own sourdough bagels … and a side of latke to cover all of the bases :) (Hanukkah ended a week ago but ….) Christmas Breakfast!

Christmas breakfast sweet = cinnamon roll with frosting!!

We walked off the decadent breakfast!

So we could make the decadent afternoon treat…

Pull apart Christmas tree pizza roll thing…

Dip that roll in marinara and YUM!

Time for another walk…

Home sweet and cozy home.

We had a wonderful and delicious Christmas Day!

Delicious photos! I was drooling….we had spinach and feta pie, turkey (not the whole bird) with bread sauce and salad and finally, Christmas pudding with home made ice cream. After that I didn’t need to eat in the evening…and the weather is not conducive to walking. It’s raining, very windy and cold.

Happy New Year to you and the boys!

YUM! That sounds like a wonderful feast!

Yes, I was fortunate to have pleasant walking weather. But, I didn’t need an evening meal either … had some chamomile tea and a couple of crackers :)

I’ve been thinking of you … needlework-wise … I’m currently working on a block of my crochet sampler afghan that is giving me trouble. Even on the video, the woman that demonstrates suggested sticky notes or highlighter or “whatever works” to keep track of the pattern. It is not as intuitively repetitive as other blocks and 2 alternating rows as well. I’ve torn out rows about 3x :( !! I am sitting down now and have vowed to just finish the block and get it over with!!
