Sweet morning
Yesterday…very early…Jeannine and I picked the first of the rhubarb and had a coffee cake in the oven and fresh coffee made well before 7:00 a.m.
We sat together in the sunroom. Our friendship spans 40 years. Sweet morning.

I love the soft light of morning, the quiet, the dew in the grass when it sparkles like a field of diamonds as the sun rises, a fresh cup of hot, strong, coffee.
This morning, I sat in the sun, in the quiet, with my coffee and my dog and thanked God for all of the things in my life.
I love morning.

Nothing is more beautiful than the loveliness of the woods before sunrise
Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for the woods speak with the voice of God.

Words from George Washington Carver – one of the people I’d invite for dinner if I could – you know, that exercise of who, living or dead, would you like to invite for dinner…

The work project was delivered, the work schedule has eased a bit. The house and yard look better than they ever have thanks to raking and general straightening up – WOW!
The rhubarb is up and I’m hunting up a good recipe for this year’s crop.
The Road Home – it looks pretty good.
The light on the mountains and tree tops of the valley, walking the loop yesterday evening.
From the front porch, the first morning home (April 13, 2010).
Familar things.

1 Thessalonians 4:11
Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands.
The work project begun a year ago is approaching a crucial deadline. Taxes – yikes! A family visit next week and then a run for home.
It is a good time for a blogging break so I’m taking one. For April…I will be minding my own business :)!
