A couple weeks ago, my mother phoned to tell me that she had seen video on The Weather Channel of a snow blower on fire. Knowing the trouble I’ve had with mine, she called to see I’d torched it out of frustration or if it had given up and exploded…<\/p>\n

Not my snow blower…<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

But…that’s my toaster in the snow.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The toaster is in the snow because it caught fire this morning. I don’t mean a few crumbs smoking. It was fire. It was enough fire that I hesitated a moment thinking whether to grab it and take it outside or fetch the fire extinquisher.<\/p>\n

This all happened about 6:30 a.m. so the day was off to an exciting start!<\/p>\n

I started working early and worked straight through mid-afternoon before taking both Bob and Karl to the vet in Kalispell – Karl for a quick check and Bob for his first meet with the new guy, get caught up on shots (3!) and look at the insulin numbers. <\/p>\n

Bob got his shots, his ears were cleaned and a new insulin prescribed. Dr. M. tried to listen to his heart and lungs but I guess it is hard to hear those things when an 18 pound cat is growling and hissing. We decided they were probably fine.<\/p>\n

Bob gratefully got in the back of the Jeep with Karl and we had a quick and quiet ride home. Bob made it all the way to the turn into the driveway before throwing up.<\/p>\n
