It was hard to tell how much had fallen as a good bit of the snow was blown here and there.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"Large\" href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec10\/WinterWalk6283.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center-noborder\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec10\/WinterWalk6283.jpg\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"\" height=\"353\" style=\"width: 530px; height: 353px\" title=\"\"\/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>It was late afternoon and the sun was making a valiant effort now and again.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"Large\" href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec10\/WinterWalk6288.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center-noborder\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec10\/WinterWalk6288.jpg\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"\" height=\"588\" style=\"width: 470px; height: 588px\" title=\"\"\/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Along with the new signage on the trail, there is a kind fellow with a 4 wheeler keeping the trail plowed.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"Large\" href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec10\/WinterWalk6290.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center-noborder\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec10\/WinterWalk6290.jpg\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"\" height=\"353\" style=\"width: 530px; height: 353px\" title=\"\"\/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>At 17F, with a brisk breeze, and the sun dropping behind the mountains to the west, it started feeling decidedly cold as we turned back toward Somers.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"Large\" href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec10\/WinterWalk6281.jpg\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center-noborder\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec10\/WinterWalk6281.jpg\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"\" height=\"353\" style=\"width: 530px; height: 353px\" title=\"\"\/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>To the east, the mountain tops were in the clear against a cold wintry sky as Karl and I took a Winter walk by the Ice House.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There WAS snow from the blizzard &#8211; just 7 miles to the west in Somers, on the trail by the ice house.
