{"id":16499,"date":"2015-11-26T18:13:05","date_gmt":"2015-11-27T00:13:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/?p=16499"},"modified":"2015-11-26T18:13:05","modified_gmt":"2015-11-27T00:13:05","slug":"let-it-snow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/2015\/11\/let-it-snow\/","title":{"rendered":"Let it snow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/OldManWinter.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/OldManWinter.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As early as Sunday evening, a Winter storm was forecast:  wind, snow and blowing snow.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2973.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2973.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Pretty much on time, it started snowing and blowing.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2974.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2974.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I was grateful to be home working as it started warm with a cold rain which quickly froze and then the snow and wind.  There was a lot of slipping and sliding around the valley, including an accident nearly at the end of my driveway.  There is a curve and one or more did not negotiate it and collided.  Heads were bumped, but all released.  It did take forever to get tow trucks for the vehicles because of other accidents.<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, the snow fall was on the light end:  3 inches in town and less than a half inch at my house.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2984.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2984.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today, Thanksgiving Day, dawned clear and very cold at 8F.<\/p>\n<p>It was a good day to have the oven and the woodstove going.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2985.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2985.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A beautiful, beautiful day that included walks in the woods, time on Beardog Point&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2988.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2988.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>and time in front of the fire.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2978.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Nov15\/Winter2978.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now &#8211; Let it snow!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As early as Sunday evening, a Winter storm was forecast: wind, snow and blowing snow.
