{"id":1505,"date":"2009-01-20T19:17:41","date_gmt":"2009-01-21T02:17:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fromthefrontporch.com\/WPBlog\/?p=1505"},"modified":"2023-09-18T12:07:57","modified_gmt":"2023-09-18T19:07:57","slug":"a-wonderful-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/2009\/01\/a-wonderful-day\/","title":{"rendered":"A Wonderful Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I got up.<\/p>\n<p>I fed Bob.<\/p>\n<p>I started the coffee&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>My work day started early and went well.  <\/p>\n<p>I work with a team of 2 others &#8211; 2 wonderful men who are smart, professional, caring fathers and husbands, thoughtful of me and of each other. It is a pleasure to work with them.  One, I have never met in person &#8211; the other just once.  Most of our interaction is by email, phone and an internet conference program &#8211; the workplace of the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p>Midday, I had a break and Karl and I went for a long walk\/snowshoe.  We are still under the inversion stratus, in the damp and cold, but as it is below freezing, the snow is hard, crusty and easy for both of us to stay on top of.<\/p>\n<p>Afternoon &#8211; more work on my own.<\/p>\n<p>Late afternoon, Big John&#8217;s picks up the snowblower for the second time.  I have a nice visit with the young men who do the pickup.  They ask good questions about the blower&#8217;s problems.  I mention my trip to Blacktail &#8211; one of them skied at Big Mountain (Whitefish) yesterday and we compare notes about the beauty of being up in the sun.
