{"id":14919,"date":"2014-08-12T05:52:09","date_gmt":"2014-08-12T11:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/?p=14919"},"modified":"2014-08-12T05:52:09","modified_gmt":"2014-08-12T11:52:09","slug":"our-monday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/2014\/08\/our-monday\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Monday"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bear is fine, but we did have an unplanned trip to the vet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Aug14\/Monday7730.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Aug14\/Monday7730.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bear was running toward me and suddenly did a kind of half somersault, half roll and came up shaking his head violently. <\/p>\n<p>Foxtails are everywhere and I check both Bear and Auggie&#8217;s ears as it is easy to get them out of the outer part&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>By noon, Bear was still obviously uncomfortable and I couldn&#8217;t see anything so off we went.<\/p>\n<p>It WAS a foxtail and it was so far in, they had to sedate Bear to get it out.  <\/p>\n<p>Between the heat (90F), anxiety and the sedative, Bear was done by the time we got home.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Aug14\/Monday7731.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Aug14\/Monday7731.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Auggie went out but he&#8217;s not a heat guy either and he was soon back in.  He flops down just inside the door like he is so tired and hot that he just cannot go further.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Aug14\/Monday7734.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Aug14\/Monday7734.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Despite the hard day, Bear got up to check on Auggie.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Aug14\/Monday7737.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Aug14\/Monday7737.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>That porcelain&#8230;it is nice and cool &#8211; that&#8217;s the next place Auggie goes to cool off.<\/p>\n<p>I succumbed to a glass of wine or 2 and an early night!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bear is fine, but we did have an unplanned trip to the vet.
