{"id":14617,"date":"2014-05-23T17:53:30","date_gmt":"2014-05-23T23:53:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/?p=14617"},"modified":"2014-05-23T17:53:30","modified_gmt":"2014-05-23T23:53:30","slug":"the-good-the-bad-the-ugly-the-cute-and-the-not-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/2014\/05\/the-good-the-bad-the-ugly-the-cute-and-the-not-today\/","title":{"rendered":"The good, the bad, the ugly, the cute and the &#8220;not today&#8221;!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve been having our typical mid to late May pseudo Summer.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6937.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6937.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bear and I walked on the road which is a continuation of the Road Home &#8211; across the highway.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6938.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6938.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>70 something, breezy, beautiful&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6944.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6944.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To the northwest, Big Mountain ski runs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6946.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6946.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>To the West-Southwest, Blacktail mountain ski runs.<\/p>\n<p>We have been walking away from home, because of the bad and ugly&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6953.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6953.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Not to worry, this particular bad and ugly is trapped between the window and the screen.  But it is bad because it WAS in the house.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6957.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6957.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Just 1 of 5 trapping venues in the yard.<\/p>\n<p>The traps are getting about 100 yellow jackets each day.  It is a bit horrifying.<\/p>\n<p>Before today, except for the 2 early emergents in April, I have not had any in the house.  But today: 5!<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve been keeping Auggie in except for early morning and early evening and a midafternoon time when things seem quiet.  He&#8217;s doing fairly well with the plan but is not 100% happy.  <\/p>\n<p>We might run away from home!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6959.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6959.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bear, Auggie and I went out briefly about 3:00.  There seemed to be a lull in activity.  The photo above is Auggie mid dirt bath.  That&#8217;s the cute!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6960.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Road6960.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is the &#8220;not today&#8221;.  I succumbed.  I&#8217;m not sure it was a good idea, but it is here.
