{"id":14599,"date":"2014-05-19T18:07:02","date_gmt":"2014-05-20T00:07:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/?p=14599"},"modified":"2014-05-19T18:07:02","modified_gmt":"2014-05-20T00:07:02","slug":"desperate-times-call-for-desperate-measures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/2014\/05\/desperate-times-call-for-desperate-measures\/","title":{"rendered":"Desperate times call for desperate measures&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A rainy day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6859.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6859.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>All day, mostly raining.<\/p>\n<p>Auggie developed a severe case of cabin fever by lunchtime.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6843.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6843.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So, I made a fort.<\/p>\n<p>And got out some toys that had been put away&#8230;so they seem new&#8230;for just such an emergency!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6846.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6846.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Desperate times call for desperate measures.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6848.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6848.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>My strategy worked for about 40 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Although it stayed cloudy and the grass and brush was very wet, there was a bit of a break and Auggie went out.<\/p>\n<p>Being so low to the ground, he got VERY wet.  <\/p>\n<p>BUT, his double coat, just like Bear&#8230;a shake and all is mostly well.<\/p>\n<p>Except for his feet and his stomach.<\/p>\n<p>Both Auggie and Bear spend a LOT of time on feet after being out in the wet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6857.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6857.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And then a nap.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6861.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/May14\/Rain6861.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On the plus side, it is VERY, VERY green &#8230;.AND the yellow jackets do not fly in the rain!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A rainy day.
