{"id":13913,"date":"2013-12-02T18:58:35","date_gmt":"2013-12-03T00:58:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/?p=13913"},"modified":"2013-12-02T18:58:35","modified_gmt":"2013-12-03T00:58:35","slug":"scary-weather","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/2013\/12\/scary-weather\/","title":{"rendered":"Scary Weather"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4138.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4138.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This photo doesn&#8217;t show how really wet and slushy it was this morning.<\/p>\n<p>It has been above freezing and raining off and on Sunday, overnight and through this morning.<\/p>\n<p>It was 37F to start this Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The issue with the forecast storm is probably not going to be snow, at least not in the valley &#8211; it is going to be cold and wind.<\/p>\n<p>It is supposed to get very cold, very fast.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4137.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4137.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The sun came out with a bit of blue sky.<\/p>\n<p>I really hoped it stayed a bit dry longer than forecast.  This kind of transition is what killed so many cattle and wildlife in North Dakota earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4141.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4141.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>While it was sunny and dry, we all got outside.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4145.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4145.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was pretty for awhile.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4147.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4147.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For a short while.<\/p>\n<p>By 3:00 this afternoon, it was dusky, snowing and the temperature had dropped to 24F.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4146.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Dec13\/Storm4146.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bear and I took a long walk at 4:00.  Bear was completely energized by the cold and snow.   I enjoyed it also except for thinking about the animals tonight and this week.<\/p>\n<p>And the roads and people deciding they need to get places.<\/p>\n<p>NOAA says the roads will flash freeze this evening and be nearly impossible.<\/p>\n<p>Scary weather.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This photo doesn&#8217;t show how really wet and slushy it was this morning.
