{"id":13030,"date":"2013-06-07T18:44:13","date_gmt":"2013-06-08T00:44:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/?p=13030"},"modified":"2013-06-08T07:54:38","modified_gmt":"2013-06-08T13:54:38","slug":"getting-ready-to-roll-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/2013\/06\/getting-ready-to-roll-3\/","title":{"rendered":"Getting ready to roll"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I made the motorhome bed today.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1621.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1621.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is kind of a big deal for me and for my plans to be in that state of &#8220;ready to roll&#8221; that I like.<\/p>\n<p>Mid-January, anticipating Bear&#8217;s recovery from TPLO 1, I changed my house bed (<a target=\"Platform Bed\"  href =\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/?p=12174\" title=\"Platform Bed\">Platform Bed<\/a>) and then moved the motorhome mattress to the house, leaving the motorhome bereft of its normal sleeping arrangement.<\/p>\n<p>But, last week, I bought&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1533.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1533.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8230; a new mattress. A compressed mattress.  An inexpensive, compressed mattress.<\/p>\n<p>It came in a blue bag.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1535.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1535.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Bear was mystified at the bed that first got lower and then non-existent&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1538.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1538.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First the blue bag came off.<\/p>\n<p>Then an outer plastic bag came off.<\/p>\n<p>Mattress in position and then an inner plastic bag was broached which caused an intake whoosh of air and the mattress unrolled and inflated until it looked like a REAL mattress.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1539.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1539.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Huh.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve slept on it for a week and so far, so good.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1626.jpg\" target=\"Large\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jun13\/MHBed1626.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Getting ready to roll.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I made the motorhome bed today.
