{"id":1293,"date":"2009-01-02T14:38:14","date_gmt":"2009-01-02T21:38:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fromthefrontporch.com\/WPBlog\/?p=1293"},"modified":"2023-09-18T12:13:31","modified_gmt":"2023-09-18T19:13:31","slug":"from-the-front-snow-cave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.beardogco.com\/theroadhome\/2009\/01\/from-the-front-snow-cave\/","title":{"rendered":"From the front snow cave"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I know I said I wanted snow&#8230; <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jan09\/BlizzardA500333.jpg\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"\" height=\"333\" style=\"width: 500px; height: 333px\" title=\"\" class=\"center\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jan09\/BlizzardB500333.jpg\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"\" height=\"333\" style=\"width: 500px; height: 333px\" title=\"\" class=\"center\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Above &#8211; this morning, laying on my stomach, just inside my front door with the camera pointed down the &#8220;walk&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Below &#8211; after shovelling the roof and the sidewalk<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jan09\/BlizzardC500333.jpg\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"\" height=\"333\" style=\"width: 500px; height: 333px\" title=\"\" class=\"center\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center-noborder\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jan09\/BlizzardD500333.jpg\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"\" height=\"460\" style=\"width: 340px; height: 460px\" title=\"\" class=\"center\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"center\" src=\"http:\/\/beardogco.com\/WPBlog\/blogimages\/Jan09\/BlizzardEBlower350420.jpg\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"\" height=\"420\" style=\"width: 350px; height: 420px\" title=\"\" class=\"center\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So&#8230;the snowblower&#8230;it blew some snow and then it coughed, spit and quit&#8230;several times&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Big John&#8217;s wanted to come today to get it and try again &#8211; at no charge &#8211; but my road is not plowed and neither is the highway, according to a neighbor, so I told them to wait until driving was better.  Those 2 sweet young men who do the pickup\/delivery and played with Karl &#8211; no sense risking their lives over a snow blower!<\/p>\n<p>And the mechanic at Big John&#8217;s listened to my attempt to mimic the noises the blower made and he never laughed.  He listened&#8230;and asked questions!!
